Holly-Hunter

Holly Hunter is a well-known American actor also known as a producer, director and actress. Her name has been acknowledged for films such as Broadcast News The Firm The Piano The Incredibles and The Incredibles. The film Piano earned her numerous awards including an Oscar. Her acting career began on Broadway by performing in a range of Broadway as well as Off Broadway productions. From the time she was a child she's always been enthusiastic about acting. She portrayed Helen Keller as a fifth-grade student in a school production. Following a bout of mumps, she went blind on the other side the ear. This was not enough to stop her desire to become an actor. At college, she was a theatre student and then moved from Pittsburgh in Pennsylvania to New York City in pursuit of her dream. Hunter had her Broadway debut after an accidental conversation in the company of Beth Henley, a playwright. They collaborated on Broadway Crimes of the Heart. After moving from New York to Los Angeles, Hunter tried to find film roles. A supporting role was secured in Swing Shift. In the three decades since then Holly Hunter has been in many films, television movies and series. Holly Hunter received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and has also won the Women in Film Lucy Award.
